Sphere Abu Dhabi, Yas Island, opening in 2029
Positioned between SeaWorld Abu Dhabi and Yas Mall, the entertainment venue will be only the second of its kind in the world after Sphere Vegas, the landmark Las Vegas attraction famed for its 16K-resolution “exosphere”, or wraparound screen. The $1.7bn 20,000-capacity entertainment venue will host concerts, combat sports and immersive events.


The world’s first flying taxi station in Dubai
The vertiport, located near Dubai International Airport, will allow quick, low-cost flying taxi flights to take off and land later this year. Dubai International Vertiport (DXV) will connect passengers to Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah and Downtown. Journeys are expected to take approximately 10 minutes compared to around 45 minutes by car, with costs comparable to an Uber Black ride.
Sharjah boosts Khor Fakkan tourism with US$190 million resort
Located directly on the beach near the Khor Fakkan Amphitheatre and Waterfall, the development includes hotels and 573 residential units ranging from one- to four-bedroom layouts, alongside 16 retail outlets, hotels, outdoor swimming pools, fitness facilities, elevated green spaces covering 100,000 square feet and a private beach.


Chedi Hospitality to build mountain hotel on Oman’s Jabal Bausher
Chedi Hospitality will open a vertically integrated mountain destination that harmonizes with the natural landscape, around 20 minutes from Muscat International Airport (MCT). The hotel will serve as the primary vantage point, alongside private residences and complementary lifestyle components.
Khareef (Monsoon) Season in Salalah, Oman
From June to September, Salalah, located in southern Oman, comes alive during the Khareef (monsoon) season, transforming the region into a lush green paradise with cool temperatures, misty mountains, flowing waterfalls, and breathtaking landscapes.
